It is a sad time for our family. My niece has been in such a bad relationship for the seven years. The man she has been with has had such a bad temper and doing drugs, alchohol and beats her up any time she has any contact with her family. She has three kids of which we have had limited contact over the years. On January 4th she was severely beaten and seven months pregnant and had her daughter Amber in her arms.Then he threw her out. She went to the neighbors to hide. He called the cops looking for her and told them she was missing. He was arrested for aggravated assault, enhanced weapon charge, methamphetamine drug charge. She has since moved in with his folks with the kids and now they are trying to get guardianship of the kids.It is a bunch of crap that she has been through with his family and him. It seems to me that they are threatening her with the kids and her life! that she will not talk to us and it is frustrating. I hope she knows that understands that we love her with all hearts and she and her girls are in our prayers.

I received a letter from PERSI stating that because I substituted fulltime 20 hours a week and worked 5 or more months in a row that I should have paid into the fund to the amount of $616.00 and that I needed to make a lump sum payment or have it taken out of my pay check and fill out a RS166 form. My understanding is that the money we be given back to me once I am done subbing at the end of the school year.  The district has to match those funds. I still haven’t found out what happens to that money. My concern over this whole matter is why is PERSI doing this now? The statue they are refering to will not hold up in court. If anyone has any comments on this issue please free to make them.

This year’s Father’s and son’s outing was held at Josh Harris’s Grandfathers Property along wolf flats above Heise. We arrived early and I was able to set up my tent and help get things set up.

I made three desserts choclate cherry, pineapple, and apple cobbler.

The next day I was able to get a picture of a beaver who came in by one of the building.

We did a fence service project. After the project was over we were able to do some shoot gun and 22 shooting.

It was excellent weather over the weekend and everyone had a good time.
